Beard Butter Inspired by Traverse City, Michigan

Our Premium Traverse City Beard Butter is inspired by the unique community of Traverse City, Michigan.

Named after the Grand Traverse Bay, Traverese City has a storied history steeped in foreign and native influence. Indian hunters and French traders were the first people to spend time here, and it was they who gave the region its name – La Grand Traverse, because of the “long crossing” they had to make by canoe across the mouth of the bay.

It’s the largest producer of tart cherries in the United States. Traverse City hosts the Cherry Festival attracting over 500,000 visitors annually.

In addition, all our beard butters are made with the finest ingredients that include organic + natural oils that are vitamin-rich to give your beard everything it needs for nourishment and look!

What's the Difference Between Beard Oil & Beard Butter?

Our beard oils are made for proper beard nourishment while our beard butter is made for nourishment and control (taming or styling your beard in a particular way).

How to Use Beard Butter

The best way to apply our beard butter is on a washed beard, and for this you can use our premium all natural beard wash. To use our beard butter, scrape about a dime's worth out of the beard butter jar with your finger and rub together with your hands to heat up the butter. Next, get the beard butter through your entire beard first with your hands, and then with a stainless steel beard comb to style & tame how you want.

Our beard butter also contain a high content of mono-saturated fatty acids, making them some of the most intensely moisturizing beard butter available. They’re chock-full of antioxidants and proteins to help repair your skin and hair. Growing a beard? Want to know how to grow a goatee, or how to grow a long beard that’ll actually look good? Do you have coarse beard hair, or a dry beard, and want a softer beard that’s well nourished? These butters provide the most complete answers to the question of how to grow a beard. They don’t clog pores so they actually help promote beard growth! We have what you need, wherever you are in your beard growing journey. Let your beard grow!

Here's a short tutorial for a more visual approach to using our beard butter. Enjoy!

Beard Butter and Beyond

Detroit Grooming is the truth! The butter and oil are great! The butter is a game great moisture and beard shape hold. I combine the oil and butter leaves my curly beard right for 4 to 6 hrs depending on the climate. I started using this after a recommendation from Dlump and the cold autumn weather was tearing my beard up. I am am avid Scotch Porter user but DTG gives you that boost you need! Invest in yourself bros!! The Traverse and 313 is what I got so far.. the Traverse is such a good smell.

Great stuff!!!

This butter is awesome. Leaves my beard looking and feeling great and the best part is, my wife and children want to keep coming in close to smell the great scent! After one application in the morning after the shower your beard will smell great all day. Best beard product I've ever used.

Gilberto Jaramillo (Taos, US)

Good smell, but on the mild side. Leaves my skin feeling dryer than other butters.
