It is my belief that a business can be strong and wonderful, but only becomes better when the people behind it are strong and wonderful themselves. It is not often that you get the opportunity to see the root of a small business… I’m talking about the passion, love and hard work that makes it thrive.

Chelsea and I recently got the opportunity to sit down with the masterminds behind Detroit Grooming Company, a Michigan based company that has everything to meet a manly man’s needs. Wow is all I can say. These guys are as authentic and true to their claim as it gets. Mike Haddad and Shaun Walford are just two regular dudes with beards that were disappointed when they couldn’t find a great Michigan-made product to keep their facial hair well groomed. So they did the most logical thing and started playing around and developing products that soon came to be the bread and butter of DGC.

Your best bet in obtaining some DGC goods is on their website where they offer a variety of grooming products. Both Mike and Shaun and true Michiganders and live in the Metro-Detroit area. They have an office in Royal Oak where the magic happens.
